DC9
CS WELDING WITH FINE GEOMETRICAL AND FUNCTIONAL CONTROL

Objective

  1. To develop a numerical model for predicting the deposition shape as a function of spray, powder and weld parameters
  2. To identify the efficient way of optimizing the deposit shape to fill the gap
  3. To find the optimal welding strategy for enhanced wear and corrosion resistance

Expected Results

  1. Defining the correlation between process parameters, deposition efficiency and weld strength
  2. Developing a benchmark depending on weld joint type and material to tailor its shape and performance
  3. Evaluating the effect of post processing in enhance bond strength

Enrollment
