DC1
Structural materials for high field magnet production

Objective

  1. To establish the relation between powder characteristics, process parameters and mechanical and electrical conductivity
  2. To develop a predictive model for the mechanical performance and electrical conductivity of CS deposits

Expected Results

  1. Correlation between the process parameters and deposited bulk materials’ performance
  2. Defined new alloys for CS deposits to be used in severe application (high stress/high flux)
  3. Validation of optimized process on simple geometries for basic knowledge to develop methodologies for AM of complex shapes
