STRUCTURAL REPAIR OF CORRODED COMOPONENTS IN O&G TO RETRIVE INTEGRITY AND CORROSION RESISTANCE

Objective

  1. To explore different deposition strategies as a function of defect bed shape and surface quality
  2. To correlate defect bed shape preparation with porosity and shape of the deposit
  3. To evaluate the corrosion resistance of the repaired valves and compare their performance with pristine components

Expected Results

  1. Determinate the individual and synergistic effects of defect bed preparation on deposit shape and porosity
  2. Developing techniques to fine control the shape and porosity as a function of toolpath strategy
  3. To recover the corrosion resistance of defected valve after repair
