STRUCTURAL REPAIR OF CORRODED COMOPONENTS IN O&G TO RETRIVE INTEGRITY AND CORROSION RESISTANCE
Objective
- To explore different deposition strategies as a function of defect bed shape and surface quality
- To correlate defect bed shape preparation with porosity and shape of the deposit
- To evaluate the corrosion resistance of the repaired valves and compare their performance with pristine components
Expected Results
- Determinate the individual and synergistic effects of defect bed preparation on deposit shape and porosity
- Developing techniques to fine control the shape and porosity as a function of toolpath strategy
- To recover the corrosion resistance of defected valve after repair
